Public Art is smART is an initiative to use Norman's ever expanding collection of prominent public art works — further accelerated by the Norman Forward Percent for Art program — as the basis for curriculum inside of Norman public schools. These sculptures, murals and more will inform a variety of coursework in math, science, language arts and more subjects, all while getting Norman students to interact with our communities public art in a manner of different ways, not only to inspire students with impressive artworks in their hometown but also further art as a vessel for learning in the classroom.

Public Art is SmART is powered by Armstrong Bank, Norman Arts Council, Oklahoma Electric Cooperative and Firehouse Art Center with additional support from Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts and BancFirst
